My newest client in Carnation is searching for a family assistant to help with daily household tasks and provide support for her and her 12-year-old son. Her son has a great sense of humor, displaying intelligence, embracing a carefree and relaxed attitude, and showing kindness to others.  He loves animals and nature, which makes sense as he wants to be a veterinarian when he grows up. He also enjoys playing video games with his friends (but must be limited in screen time). He has taken up fencing and goes multiple times per week, and in the winter, he plays basketball at school. He likes to create new recipes and then forgets to clean the kitchen afterward. On the weekends, you can find them getting outdoors, ideally for a hike but often just for a walk. They like cooking, watching movies/comedy TV shows, and hanging out with friends.

FAMILY VALUES: In their family, love and compassion are central to their way of life. They prioritize treating everyone with kindness, fairness, and respect. Hard work is integral to their family ethos, and they strive for honesty and empathy in all their interactions, even when faced with challenges. Taking responsibility for their actions is a cornerstone of how they operate, fostering trust and understanding within their family dynamic.

ABOUT THE FAMILY ASSISTANT: An individual who demonstrates maturity, kindness, empathy, reliability, calmness, self-sufficiency, and strong problem-solving abilities is encouraged to apply. She is seeking an individual who possesses a proactive "can-do" attitude and is capable of providing essential assistance in maintaining the smooth operation of the household. Lastly, being fond of animals is a must because this family has two friendly dogs (Samoyeds), seventeen chickens, a lizard, and two fish.

When the weather is nice, they love to escape to their vacation home on the coast. The share is in one single-story home with plenty of space, AC, no pets, a soon-to-be fenced yard, and walking distance to parks. Downtown Kirkland is one mile away.

Both families collaborate with me, and we strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where children can freely express their emotions, learn to regulate their feelings and develop crucial social skills.
