HOUSEHOLD MANAGERS PLACEMENTS

At The Nanny Consultant, we specialize in placing full-time house managers, accommodating schedules of up to 50- 55 hours per week. We take great pride in our commitment to excellence, raising the standard for caregiver placements through a careful, personalized approach that matches families with the perfect nanny. Our mission is to ensure every family receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. A house manager generally does it all, from managing homes and multiple estates to overseeing household employees. Duties can include a daily home reset, kitchen cleanup, dishes, laundry, meal prep, breaking down boxes for recycling, taking garbage out to the bin and the curb, and home organization, bill pay, managing vendors, setting appointments for anything. They are there to make the home setting seamless,

We believe in supporting our house managers and families alike! Each family must provide sick leave as required by law, along with paid holidays and two weeks of paid time off at the nanny's discretion after 90 days. Additionally, they receive mileage reimbursement when using their car during working hours, overtime for hours over 40 per week, and guaranteed hours for peace of mind. Most house managers receive additional PTO, paid healthcare, a car to use while employed with the family, cell phone stipends, and some will receive a 401 (k).

Rates for each position may vary depending on several factors, such as geographical location, market demand, number of children, job duties, preferred experience, and hours worked. Generally, you can expect to pay around $42-$65 per hour for a house manager.

OPTION A: There is a non-refundable registration fee of $375 and a non-refundable placement fee of 16%of your provider's annualized gross income. This option includes the following:

-9-month guarantee with a max of one replacement.

-After the 9-month guarantee period is completed, all future placements receive an 11% discount on the total placement fee.

OPTION B: There is a non-refundable registration fee of $675 and a non-refundable placement fee of 14% of the provider's annualized gross income. This option includes the following:

-11-month guarantee with a max of two replacements.

-After the 11-month guarantee period is completed, all future placements receive a discount of 15% off the total placement fee.

Before we proceed, let's schedule a discovery call. This will allow us to get to know each other better, discuss your specific needs, and explore how we can collaborate effectively. It’s important for us to understand your goals and expectations so that we can tailor our approach accordingly.

NEXT STEPS

You will recieve a questionnaire, next steps email chalked full of information you will need to hire a nanny and includes a parent nanny contract, family handbook, and offer letter.

ZOOM MEETING

After reviewing your questionnaire and initial information, we'll meet over Zoom to discuss your family's needs in greater detail. This conversation allows us to learn more about your schedule, household dynamics, parenting style, expectations, and the qualities you're seeking in a nanny. We'll also review the placement process, answer questions, and make sure we have a clear understanding of what will create the strongest long-term match.

SOURCING

When sourcing a provider, the process involves carefully considering the position requirements and the client's specific needs. The Nanny Consultant website and online resources, such as Indeed, are utilized, along with social media platforms, to ensure a comprehensive search. In addition, we consider personal referrals from trusted sources. Lastly, those who are dedicated to using The Nanny Consultant and are in her pool are her top choice. By using this multifaceted approach, we aim to identify the most suitable nanny who can meet the family's unique needs and expectations.

SCREENING

In 2014, Kyla founded The Nanny Consultant to provide families with unparalleled service. The Nanny Consultant sets a high bar for due diligence, and we strongly believe that no other agency in the Greater Seattle area can compare to the level of service we provide. Kyla has over two decades of experience as a nanny/household manager, and as a mother of three, she knows firsthand what it takes to care for homes and uses this background when selecting providers. We take our intake process seriously and perform an in-depth screening of all candidates. We call multiple references and do not cut corners by using email questionnaires as references. We also spend an hour with each candidate, really getting to know them and their needs. Each candidate must fill out an in-depth application and questionnaires, be CPR and First Aid certified, and have a current resume. Lastly, they must have a clean driving record and a clean background check. Our goal is to ensure we place only household managers who meet our high standards and whom we would trust to care for our own children. INTERVIEWS AND TRIALS

Once Kyla shares the profiles, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to conduct your own interviews! Consider options like a Zoom meeting, a casual coffee shop meet-up, or even inviting the nanny to your home.

Trials are a must and generally last between 4 hours and a couple of days, depending on your comfort level.

ONBOARDING

The final step in your hiring journey is bringing your chosen candidate on board! Once you're confident in your decision, you'll prepare and send a formal offer letter. Next, you'll provide a detailed parent-nanny contract to ensure both parties are aligned on expectations and responsibilities.

The entire process can take anywhere from a few days to 12 weeks.
