A family in Woodinville is looking for a nanny/family assistant for their family of five. Their two boys, ages 4 and almost 2, are sweet, spirited, and endlessly curious, with days often centered around imaginative play, outdoor adventures, neighborhood exploration, music, and plenty of space to simply be kids. Their brand-new baby sister, born in early July, has added a tender new rhythm to the family’s days. Their oldest is sensitive, imaginative, curious, creative, and deeply loving, with a tender heart and a bright inner world. His brother is happy, helpful, independent, opinionated, and full of energy, bringing a lively sense of joy and determination to the household. Their sweet baby sister is snuggly and cute as a button. The parents are intentional about creating a calm, nurturing environment where curiosity, kindness, and connection are encouraged every day. This family has an older dog who is a mini poodle, almost 15, and spends the day with dad in his office.
They are a hands-on, creative family who love making, building, cooking, and exploring together. Weekends often bring home projects, fresh-baked treats, griddle breakfasts, BBQ dinners, farmers market visits, and favorite outings to places like the zoo, flight museum, and aquarium. The kids are enthusiastic little helpers, and family life is full of curiosity, teamwork, and everyday adventure. They keep screen time light and gentle, preferring nature shows, family walks, imaginative play, and learning experiences.
FAMILY VALUES: “Kindness sits at the heart of our family. Both Mom and our oldest are deeply sensitive souls, and we treat that as a gift — we value empathy, gentleness with each other's feelings, and noticing when someone needs a little extra care. Family closeness matters deeply. We're intentional about one-on-one time with each kid, and extended family is woven into our weekly rhythm. We believe kids should get just to be kids, which shapes everything from our light approach to screens to how we protect our children's tender hearts. We also value making and doing things well; we’d rather build it or fix it ourselves, we take pride in craftsmanship, and we want our kids to grow up capable, curious, and unafraid to try things with their hands. We love learning together, asking questions, figuring out how things work, and celebrating what makes each child light up. And we value honesty and follow-through: doing what you say you'll do, communicating openly, and treating people (and our home) with care.” Family
ABOUT THE NANNY/FAMILY ASSISTANT: “Genuine warmth and engagement with children top our list, the kind of person who gets down on the floor to play, chats with the baby, and makes our older two feel just as seen with a newborn in the mix. Confidence with infants stands out to us, as does the ability to juggle multiple age groups gracefully; staying calm when the baby is crying and a toddler is melting down at the same time is a real skill we deeply appreciate. Mom has been at home since our eldest was born and is deeply involved with the kids, homeschooling, doing co-op preschool with each child, and making dedicated one-on-one time for everyone, so we especially value someone who works well as a tag-team partner: confidently taking the lead with whichever kids need care in the moment, while flowing naturally with the rhythm of our days. Initiative matters to us: we love someone who sees what needs doing and does it without being asked. We also value reliability and honest, proactive communication — giving us a heads-up when something seems off, being honest if something did not go well, and asking questions rather than guessing. And since this person will be a true insider in our home, trustworthiness, discretion, and adaptability round out the list. Above all, we want someone who feels like a genuine partner to our family.” Family
ADDITIONAL NOTES: This is a position where the candidate and mom will work together to tackle the day. There are going to be many opportunities where mom will have all three out of the home, and during this time they are hoping to find a nanny/family assistant to assist around the home. Keeping up with family laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, completing a reset, wiping down countertops, ideally snack and meal prep for the family, and breaking down boxes are a few things that would be expected. Their oldest will be in co-op three days a week!
