LONG TERM NANNY PLACEMENT

At The Nanny Consultant, we provide professional long-term nanny placement for families in Seattle and nationwide, specializing in both part-time and full-time placements. Our personalized approach matches each family with a highly qualified nanny based on schedule, household needs, parenting style, and long-term fit. We are committed to thoughtful, high-quality placements and individualized support throughout the search process.

We believe in supporting our nannies and families alike! Each family must provide sick leave as required by law, along with paid holidays and two weeks of paid time off at the nanny's discretion after 90 days. Additionally, mileage reimbursement if they are using their car during working hours, overtime for hours over 40 per week, and guaranteed hours for peace of mind.

Nanny rates are at an all-time high as the cost of living has risen tremendously.  Rates for each Nanny position may vary depending on several factors, such as geographical location, market demand, number of children, job duties, preferred experience, and hours worked. Generally, you can expect to pay around $36 to $40 per hour for a Nanny, with part-time care costing a bit more.

PLACEMENT FEE:  There is a non-refundable registration fee of $375 and a non-refundable placement fee of 15% of your provider's annualized gross income after the nanny has accepted the position.

This includes a 10 month guarantee with a max of one replacement.

DISCOVERY CALL

Before we proceed, let's schedule a discovery call. This will allow us to get to know each other better, discuss your specific needs, and explore how we can collaborate effectively. It’s important for us to understand your goals and expectations so that we can tailor our approach accordingly.

2

NEXT STEPS

You will receive a detailed questionnaire and a next-steps email outlining everything you'll need to hire a nanny. This includes guidance on hiring a nanny, a Parent Nanny Agreement, a Family Handbook, and an Offer Letter so you feel prepared before interviews and placement begin.

3

ZOOM MEETING

After reviewing your questionnaire and initial information, we'll meet over Zoom to discuss your family's needs in greater detail. This conversation will help us learn more about your schedule, household dynamics, parenting style, expectations, and the qualities you're seeking in a nanny. We'll also review the placement process, answer questions, and make sure we clearly understand what will create the strongest long-term match.

4

SOURCING

Our search includes The Nanny Consultants' existing candidate network, professional referrals, targeted recruiting, online platforms, and social media. We also prioritize strong candidates who have previously engaged with our agency and whose experience aligns closely with the position.

SCREENING

In 2014, Kyla founded The Nanny Consultant to provide families with unparalleled service. The Nanny Consultant sets a high bar for due diligence, and we strongly believe no other agency in the Greater Seattle area can match the level of service we provide. Kyla has over two decades of experience as a nanny, and as a mother of three, she knows firsthand what it takes to care for children and uses this background when selecting providers. We take our intake process seriously and perform an in-depth screening of all candidates. We call multiple references and do not cut corners by using email questionnaires as references. We also spend an hour with each candidate, really getting to know them and their needs. Each candidate must fill out an in-depth application and questionnaires, be CPR and First Aid certified, and have a current resume. Lastly, they must have a clean driving record and a clean background check. Our goal is to ensure we place only nannies who meet our high standards and whom we would trust to care for our own children.  If you read The Nanny Consultant's Google reviews, you will see how we first-hand select the perfect nanny and family to be paired. Generally, families hire the first nanny we send to be reviewed.

6

INTERVIEWS AND TRIALS

Once Kyla shares the profiles, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to conduct your own interviews! Consider options like a Zoom meeting, a casual coffee shop meet-up, or even inviting the nanny to your home.

Trials are a must and generally last between 4 hours and a couple of days, depending on your comfort level.

7

ONBOARDING

The final step in your hiring journey is bringing your chosen candidate on board! Once you're confident in your decision, you'll prepare and send a formal offer letter. Next, you'll provide a detailed parent-nanny contract to ensure both parties are aligned on expectations and responsibilities.

The total timeline depends on so many factors, though generally it can take anywhere from a few days to 12 weeks.
