LONG TERM NANNY

At The Nanny Consultant, we specialize in placing both part-time and full-time nannies, accommodating schedules of up to 50 hours per week. We take great pride in our commitment to excellence, raising the standard for caregiver placements through a careful, personalized approach that matches families with the perfect nanny. Our mission is to ensure every family receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs.

We believe in supporting our nannies and families alike! Each family is to provide sick leave as required by law, along with paid holidays, and two weeks of paid time off at the nanny's discretion after 90 days. Additionally, mileage reimbursement if they are using their car during working hours, overtime for hours over 40 per week, and guaranteed hours for peace of mind.

Nanny rates are at an all time high as the rise in the cost of living has gone up tremendously.  The rates for each Nanny position may vary depending on several factors such as the geographical location, market demand, number of children, job duties, preferred experience, and the number of hours worked. Generally, you can expect to pay around $35 to $40 per hour for a Nanny, with part-time care costing a bit more.

SCREENING

In 2014, Kyla founded The Nanny Consultant with the aim of providing families with unparalleled service. The Nanny Consultant sets a high bar for due diligence, and we strongly believe that no other agency in the Greater Seattle area can compare to the level of service we provide. Kyla has over two decades of experience as a nanny, and as a mother of three, she knows firsthand what it takes to care for children and uses this background when selecting providers. We take our intake process seriously and perform an in-depth screening of all candidates. We believe in calling multiple references, and we do not cut corners by using email questionnaires as references. We also spend an hour with each candidate, really getting to know them and their needs. Each candidate must fill out an in-depth application, and questionnaires, along with being CPR and First Aid certified and have a current resume. Lastly, they must have a pristine driving record and background check. Our goal is to ensure that we only place nannies who meet our high standards and whom we would trust to care for our own children.  If you read The Nanny Consultant's Google reviews, you will see how we first hand select the perfect nanny and family to be paired with. Generally speaking, families will hire the first nanny we send to be reviewed.

INTERVIEWS AND TRIALS

Once Kyla shares the profiles, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to conduct your own interviews! Consider options like a Zoom meeting, a casual coffee shop meet-up, or even inviting the nanny to your home.

Trials are a must, generally lasting between 4 and a couple of days, depending on your comfort level.

ONBOARDING

The final step in your hiring journey is bringing your chosen candidate on board! Once you feel certain about your decision, you'll prepare and send out a formal offer letter. Following that, you'll provide a detailed parent-nanny contract, ensuring that both parties are on the same page regarding expectations and responsibilities.
